Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb Steak (Ribeye, Sirloin, or your favorite cut), sliced into ½-inch thick pieces
- 2 tbsp Olive Oil
- 4 tbsp Butter, unsalted
- 4 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1 cup Heavy Cream
- ½ cup Chicken Broth
- ¼ cup Grated Parmesan Cheese
- 1 tbsp Fresh Parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Salt and Black Pepper, to taste
- Optional: Red pepper flakes for a hint of spice
Instructions
- Season the steak slices generously with salt and black pepper. Let them sit at room temperature for 20-30 minutes.
- Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the steak slices for 2-3 minutes per side, until browned and cooked to your desired doneness. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes, until fragrant.
- Pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth, and bring to a simmer. Stir in the Parmesan cheese and continue to simmer for 5-7 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened slightly. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Add red pepper flakes if desired.
- Return the steak slices to the skillet and gently toss them in the creamy garlic sauce to coat. Let simmer for a minute or two to warm through.
- Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley.
Notes
- For a richer sauce, add a tablespoon of cream cheese along with the heavy cream.
- Add sliced mushrooms to the skillet along with the garlic for a mushroom garlic cream sauce.
- Serve over pasta for a creamy garlic steak pasta dish.
- Pair with roasted vegetables like asparagus or Brussels sprouts for a balanced meal.
- Adjust the amount of garlic to your personal preference.
