Easy Creamy Beef And Shells is a comforting weeknight dish that combines ground beef, shell pasta, and a luscious creamy sauce. Perfect for busy evenings, this family-friendly recipe can be customized with your favorite vegetables, cheeses, or spices.

  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 (12-ounce) package small shell pasta
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 (10.75-ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Optional: chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the chopped onion and cook until the beef is cooked through and the onion is softened, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Drain excess grease and stir in the minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  4. Cook for another minute until fragrant.
  5. While the beef is browning, cook the shell pasta according to the package directions.
  6. Drain the pasta well and set aside.
  7. Reduce the heat to low and add cream cheese, condensed cream of mushroom soup, and milk to the skillet.
  8. Stir until the cream cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth and creamy.
  9. Add the cooked shell pasta and shredded cheddar cheese to the skillet.
  10. Stir until everything is well combined and the cheese is melted.
  11. Garnish with chopped parsley, if desired, and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Don’t overcook the pasta; cook it al dente to prevent mushiness.
  • Use quality ingredients for the best flavor.
  • Customize your sauce with hot sauce or red pepper flakes for added heat.
  • Add vegetables like peas or bell peppers for nutrients.
