- Dough:
- 2 ½ cups warm milk
- 2 eggs
- ⅓ cup softened butter
- ½ cup sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 ½ tsp yeast
- 7 cups flour
- Filling:
- 16 oz cream cheese softened
- ½ cup softened butter
- ½ cup sugar
- ½ cup powdered sugar
- ½ tsp vanilla
- 8 oz toffee bits
- Frosting:
- ½ cup butter softened
- 3 cups powdered sugar
- 3–5 tbsp milk
- ½ tsp vanilla
Instructions
- Prepare the cream cheese filling by mixing softened cream cheese, butter, sugars, and vanilla until smooth. Stir in toffee bits.
- Proof the yeast in warm water. Combine flour and salt in a bowl, then mix in yeast mixture, eggs, melted butter, and milk. Knead until smooth and let rise until doubled.
- Roll the dough into a rectangle, spread with cream cheese filling, and roll tightly into a log. Cut into 1-inch rolls and place in a greased baking pan. Let rise again.
- Bake at 350°F for 20-25 minutes until golden brown. Prepare frosting and spread over rolls once cooled slightly.
