- 1 lb fresh strawberries (hulled and sliced)

- Additional whipped topping for garnish
- Optional: fresh mint leaves or chocolate shavings for decoration
Instructions
- Baking the Cake Layers: Prepare the yellow cake according to package instructions or your favorite recipe. Bake in two round pans or one large sheet pan, depending on preference. Let cool completely before assembling.
- Making the Pudding Layer: In a large bowl, whisk together pudding mix and cold milk until thickened. Fold in half of the thawed whipped topping to lighten the mixture. Chill briefly while preparing other components.
- Preparing the Fruit Layer: Wash, hull, and slice strawberries (and any additional fruits). Pat them dry to prevent excess moisture from softening the cake layers.
- Assembling the Cake: If using round layers, place one cake layer on a serving plate. Spread half of the pudding mixture evenly over the cake. Arrange sliced strawberries on top, then add the second cake layer. Spread the remaining pudding mixture and top generously with whipped topping. Garnish with more fruit and optional decorations.
