Instructions
1. Prepare the Dough
- In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
2. Add Dry Ingredients & Mix-Ins
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in your chosen mix-ins, such as chocolate chips or nuts.
3. Shape & Bake the Cookies
- Scoop large portions of dough (about ¼ cup each) onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Slightly flatten each dough ball for even baking.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 10-12 minutes, or until edges are set but centers are soft.
4. Decorate & Serve
- Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
- Drizzle with melted chocolate or caramel and sprinkle with sea salt for extra flavor.
