Ingredients
- Boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- Freshly grated parmesan cheese
- Panko breadcrumbs
- Fresh garlic cloves
- Heavy cream
- Unsalted butter
- Olive oil
- Salt
- Pepper
- Garlic powder
- Paprika
- Italian herbs
Instructions
- Pound chicken breasts to ½ inch thickness and season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and Italian herbs.
- Combine parmesan cheese and breadcrumbs in a shallow dish. Dredge each chicken breast in the mixture, pressing firmly.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook chicken for 5-7 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through.
- In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant (about 1 minute).
- Pour in heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian herbs. Simmer until the sauce thickens slightly (3-5 minutes).
- Pour the garlic sauce over the cooked chicken breasts. Garnish with fresh parsley and a sprinkle of parmesan cheese. Serve immediately.
Notes
- For a healthier version, bake the parmesan crusted chicken in the oven at 375°F (190°C) for 20-25 minutes.
- Add a squeeze of lemon juice to the garlic sauce for a bright, zesty flavor.
- Serve with a side of pasta, roasted vegetables, or a fresh salad for a complete meal.
