Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch cake pan.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla.
- Alternately add dry ingredients and milk to the butter mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Fold in diced apples, then pour batter into the prepared pan.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Let cool before serving. Dust with powdered sugar if desired.
