- 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded or cubed
- 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (for topping)
- 2 tablespoons butter
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Cook the pasta according to package directions until al dente. While the pasta is cooking, shred or cube the cooked chicken. Rotisserie chicken works great for convenience.
- In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the softened cream cheese and stir until smooth. Gradually whisk in the heavy cream until the mixture is well combined and creamy. Stir in the Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Continue to stir until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth.
- Drain the cooked pasta and add it to the saucepan with the Alfredo sauce. Add the shredded chicken and toss everything together until the pasta and chicken are evenly coated in the sauce.
- Pour the chicken alfredo casserole mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish. Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese evenly over the top. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the casserole is heated through.
