- Stir in vanilla extract and pour the mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.

- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- Add milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract; mix until just combined.
- Drop spoonfuls of the batter over the chocolate sauce base. Do not stir—the batter will float on top and bake into a soft, cake-like texture.

- Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until the top is set and the edges are bubbling.
- The cobbler will have a molten chocolate sauce at the bottom—this is what makes it so decadent!
