Instructions
1. Preparing the Crust
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C). Line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, mix the graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter until combined.
- Press the mixture evenly into the bottom of the prepared pan. Chill for 10 minutes while making the filling.
2. Making the Cheesecake Batter
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese and sugar until smooth and creamy.
- Add sour cream and vanilla extract, mixing until fully incorporated.
- One at a time, add the eggs, mixing just until combined. Do not overmix.
- Pour the cheesecake batter over the chilled crust, smoothing the top with a spatula.
3. Creating the Blue Velvet Swirl
- In a separate bowl, mix heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla. Add blue gel food coloring until desired shade is reached.
- Drizzle the blue mixture over the cheesecake batter.
- Use a toothpick or skewer to create a swirling, galaxy-like pattern.
4. Adding the Shimmer
- Lightly sprinkle edible glitter over the cheesecake.
- Arrange edible silver or gold stars across the surface for a celestial effect.
5. Baking the Cheesecake Bars
- Bake for 40–45 minutes, or until the center is set but slightly jiggly.
- Turn off the oven and let the bars cool inside with the door slightly open for 1 hour.
- Refrigerate for at least 4 hours (or overnight) before slicing.
6. Serving & Presentation
