Scale
For the Truffle Filling:
- 1 package (14–16 oz) Oreo cookies (about 30 cookies)
- 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
For the Chocolate Coating:
- 12 oz white chocolate chips or candy melts
- Purple gel food coloring
For Decoration:
- Black icing or edible markers (for tentacle details)
- Edible glitter or purple sprinkles
- Mini chocolate starfish or seashells (optional)
Instructions
1. Prepare the Truffle Filling:
- Crush the Oreos into fine crumbs using a food processor or by placing them in a zip-top bag and crushing with a rolling pin.
- In a large bowl, mix the Oreo crumbs with softened cream cheese until a smooth dough forms.
2. Shape the Truffles:
- Roll the mixture into small, even balls (about 1 inch in diameter).
- Place on a parchment-lined tray and refrigerate for 30 minutes to firm up.
3. Coat with Chocolate:
- Melt white chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth.
- Stir in purple gel food coloring until you achieve Ursula’s signature deep purple hue.
- Using a fork or dipping tool, dip each chilled truffle into the melted chocolate, coating evenly.
- Let excess chocolate drip off before placing truffles back on the parchment paper.
4. Add Decorations:
- Before the chocolate sets, sprinkle with edible glitter or purple sprinkles for a mystical shimmer.
- Use black icing or edible markers to draw Ursula-inspired tentacle swirls on each truffle.
- Add mini chocolate starfish or seashells for an extra oceanic touch.
- Let truffles set completely before serving.
