- 1 lb (450g) store-bought or homemade gnocchi
- 2 cups fresh spinach, roughly chopped
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- ½ cup ricotta cheese
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp dried Italian seasoning
- ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Fresh basil for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Toss gnocchi with olive oil, garlic, and spinach in a greased baking dish.
- Simmer marinara sauce with Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper for 5 minutes.
- Pour sauce over gnocchi mixture, then dollop with ricotta, mozzarella, and Parmesan.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden and bubbly. Rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
- Use fresh gnocchi for best texture, or thaw frozen gnocchi before baking.
- Add heavy cream to marinara for extra creaminess.
- Broil for 2-3 minutes for a crispier top.
- Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days.
